Life moves pretty fast

Don’t blink. You could miss it.

Life.

This was 19 summers ago.

You could argue that these are the last two kids in our family to have had true feral summers.

There were no tablets in sight.

They knew what it was like to sit quietly and watch a sunset with their feet hanging off the dock.

They were fine with not being entertained by an electronic overlord that requires your eyeballs every 30 seconds.

They spent hours talking to each other, making up stories, and playing games by themselves.

It was glorious.
