Osborne 1 Restoration Day 3

Day 3 of the Osborne 1 restoration. Some things are tricky because there’s not much diagnostic information and software. I suspected some bad RAM, so I used my EPROM emulator to install a ROM called OZROM 1E from 1984. It has a simple built in RAM tester. Sure enough, there’s a bad bit in bank 1. Time to find some 2114s.

It’s a super tight fit because you have to put the machine about 80% back together to get it in a state to power on.
