Interactive Fiction

Despite being the right age for it, I was never super into interactive fiction.

Now that we’re covering it extensively in our book club, I’m making maps are enjoying them a lot. The one I am playing through again is a “modern” one called Hibernated.

Natually, I’m playing it on an 8-bit

As a fiction reader, I am a character-over-plot person. And these games are plot-heavy.

I feel like I’m “supposed” to love these games. In practice… not so much.

I’ve tried to start writing a few stories/games in these systems recently and the programming of them is a heavy lift. So much so that it takes me away from my story writing and character building.
