Email sucks

I didn’t become aware until setting up my own Discourse server this week what a complete mess several large corporations have made email into.

Why is it so hard for me to set up a server and have it send notifications to my 10 users?

This is the price for your ineffective email security strategy?

I find myself yearning for the golden days of the internet when email was a beacon of open standards and was treated as such.
