Rethinking the approach

I had this idea to do the 100-door problem on the Sinclair 1000/ZX81 like I’ve done for so many computers…But the first step takes about an hour. (there are 100 steps). The whole thing takes about 40 seconds on a VIC-20. I’m going to have to rethink my approach here.
